WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
FIND OUT MORE
All types of work can cause stresses, and strains to the body. Working at a computer, uncomfortable seating, standing all day, driving for long periods, bending and lifting heavy items can all take its toll.

Osteopaths are trained to treat a wide variety of health problems experienced by all ages.
Some details below that we will expand on in the future as our new site is completed
Diagnosis and Treatment
From one off acute injuries, or a build up of stress and strains from everyday life Osteopaths are trained to treat a wide variety of health problems experienced by all ages.
Rehabilitation and Improving Potential
Injury is an almost inevitable part of a sports person’s life, be it in your highly tuned professional or your casual amateur. It may take the form of an acute ligament tear or be as mild as post-exercise muscle soreness.
Pre and Post Natal Benefit
Osteopathy can be of great benefit to pregnant women, as they have to cope with a whole range of symptoms from back pain to heartburn and morning sickness.
Gentle and Effective
Birth is one of the most stressful events in our lives. The baby is subjected to enormous forces, by the mother pushing and the natural resistance of the birth canal.
Benefits for Employers and Employees
Poor posture or bad lifting techniques can contribute to these daily aches and pains, whether you lift heavy loads, sit at the PC incorrectly or drive for long periods.
What is ultrasound.
Ultrasound is a diagnostic test that uses sound waves and a computer to produce real time dynamic images of internal structures of the body. It is a harmless and painless modality with no radiation used to produce images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints.
MSK Ultrasound can help to identify a range of acute and chronic inflammatory or injury related conditions such as tendonitis, tears, bursitis, trapped nerves, arthritis, joint problems, muscle injuries and masses such as tumours or cysts.
Your Ultrasound specialist.
With 25 years of experience as a diagnostic radiographer and specialist musculoskeletal sonographer, in conjunction with 20 years as an Osteopath Gareth Morris is ideally placed to provide you with the detailed assessment, imaging and diagnosis.
He combines his own Osteopathic clinic with his hospital based diagnostic ultrasound scanning and teaching work. This enables him to have a strong understanding of your musculoskeletal history and hands on assessment along with up to date knowledge of the latest ultrasound imaging techniques.
What can be assessed with musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Ultrasound is excellent at visualising structures, such as certain ligaments, muscles and tendons, and the surface of some bones. Ultrasound does have significant limitations in its ability to visualise deeper structures within the body and is also unable to directly visualise structures within a joint (such as cruciate ligaments within the knee or damage to bone or cartilage within a joint). However, visualisation of joint lines/margins and synovium can sometimes give insight into potential joint pathology.
Please note this is a musculoskeletal service, not all areas are able to be scanned. Below is a table of areas that we do and do not scan,
